Outdoor Service Update

9/24/2020

Friends,
I want to update you on our online worship service. You may have noticed that we have moved locations of the broadcast over the last few weeks. The main reason for this move was so that we can involve more people in our worship service. In addition God has blessed us in this time of difficulty with new leaders, new friends and new volunteers!
Last Sunday, we broadcast from the patio of the church office. This experiment was to see if we could make an outdoor service work while live streaming. If you joined us online you know that we have a few kinks to work out. The broadcast wasn’t perfect. We are working through some of these issues and hope to have them fixed for the coming Sunday. Just as when we first began, this will be a process that will require some patience. We thank you for sticking with us.
The outdoor space behind the church office is a common area of all the tenants of our building. Before we used this space we asked every tenant permission. It was a sign of God’s leading that every tenant was enthusiastic about our use of this space. I was blown away by the generosity of Jensens when they gave us a key to their office and the ability to use their electric and furniture for our services. God has opened doors for us!
Because we are outside, I am happy to say that we can invite guests to the 10am service. Last Sunday was extremely hot so be prepared if you plan on attending. Even outside the state government requires masks and family groups to remain socially distant. If you plan on attending our service please do your best to observe these regulations.
In addition to our 10am service we will have our 8am service on the first Sunday of each month at Bethany. We are looking for volunteers to help at both the 8am service and the 10am service. In particular we need more ushers to help enforce the state guidelines at the 8am service. Please let the office know if you are interested in helping!
I am committed to visiting those who cannot yet attend our services and even those who can. If you would like a communion visit please let the office know. These visits are such a joy to me!

God's peace,

Fr. Paul
